Linkedin reveals 2019’s most valued roles | UK Recruitment News

Tech dominates in the social network’s report of the most recruited jobs of 2019.

Helping recruiters improve their value offering

Back in January, the website published its list of “most promising” positions for the year ahead. So: how well did the site experts do in their predictions?

Quite well, as it turns out. The January report had a strong software and tech focus; this has proven to be a sound prediction. However, the earlier report named a wider range of in-demand skills than the current list names. It suggests that a handful of key jobs – namely data scientists and DevOps engineers – are in far greater demand than most expectected.

We have seen recently how businesses are cutting budgets for traditional recruiting. A better insight into what companies really want from new hires should therefore help improve the value offering of recruitment specialists.
